Staff walk, use cycle-to-work schemes and public transport whenever possible, and only use cars for multiple-occupancy journeys. The impacts of staff transport methods are reviewed and adapted on a quarterly basis. Staff implement active travel at home as much as possible.

Pedagogy & Curricula

More than 66% of children travel to the setting using sustainable transport. Children are well informed about sustainable travel and the problems with flying.

Parents & Community

Parents are encouraged to take ‘staycations’ in the UK to reduce their air travel carbon footprint.   Cars are never used for single-occupancy journeys (except for emergencies). Parents are fully on board with changes at the setting and implement active travel at home as much as possible.
