The Eco Wheel Community

To support settings on their eco-journey we have created a ‘community’ through which we can share ideas, thoughts and generally share the burden of work.

Be it copies of posters, presentations, templates or example documents, we have worked hard to ensure that you can make progress as swiftly as possible, using the content we have already created. We hope though, that with the Eco Wheel community, these resources can be ever growing.

We all need to shift to Emergency Mode to respond to the Climate Emergency so learning from others is the most efficient way of making progress!

Everyone who subscribes to the Eco Wheel is able to access all the knowledge of the Eco Wheel team via the materials on the website and members have access to unlimited downloads of all materials.

However, if you want to be more involved and make a bigger contribution to the community, you can do so by becoming one of the following ‘Contributor’ or ‘Champion’. Both options come with additional responsibilities to the community, but its every bit worth it if you want to make a real difference and commit to your eco journey!

Eco Wheel Contributors

To build our community and to help others learn quickly, we ask ‘Contributors’ to share resources they have created with the Eco Wheel community. Whether you have letters to parents, presentations, environmental polices or anything else to share, all these will help others progress.

Eco Wheel Champions

Some individuals are so passionate about trying to save they planet, they still want to do more. These become our ‘Champions’, they support others and shout out about their actions whilst also supporting others.

Sharing the message

All ‘Members’ of the community are able to use the Eco-wheel logo to promote that they are on an eco-journey. Sharing the message with others is such a huge part of the influence that early years settings can have so we hope that providers will shout out about being part of the Early Years Eco Wheel(TM) scheme. There are many local provider networks around the country so the more settings that share the resources and knowledge, the greater the change that can be made.

‘Members’, ‘Contributors’ and ‘Champions’ are all able to use the Eco wheel Logos to promote their journey to a more sustainable position.

Upon successful application to become a ‘Contributor’ or ‘Champion’, you will receive a level specific logo which you can display to show the hard work you are putting into your Eco Journey!
